In the last 20 years, I’ve been painting oil abstracts. In my work, one can see layers of colours and engravings, recalling the ancestral need of leaving behind one’s own mark. Almost digging on the canvas, I remove part of the layers to get to what I believe to be the soul of the artwork. I work like time, which consumes and leaves the most precious memories and the significant traces of our lives intact. The result is immaterial: caressing the canvas, one can discover a completely smooth surface.
